**UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE**
We've raised enough to buy the new tables AND we've recovered the old ones - although 2 are no longer safe to use. We don't NEED anymore money for tables, but any we do receive will be put towards more tables and outdoor equipment.
Thank you everyone
Justine
=========================================================
On 6th April our picnic benches up and walked off - I'm assuming with a little help from someone who just needed to sit down somewhere lovely, and who didn't realise how important those benches were to us.
Owing to Covid we've had to reduce the number of pupils eating in the dining areas, therefore the additional outdoor seating has provided somewhere where pupils can sit and eat their lunches whilst socialising at a safe distance with friends. Without replacement benches, pupils will either need to stand and eat, or eat in classrooms. The pandemic has put a huge strain on school finances, which is why we are asking for help - the alternative is to reduce spending in subject areas.
Whatever you can give is appreciated - you know the saying "every little helps" in the event we raise more than we need, the additional funds will go to improving the outdoor spaces generally, which could be more tables, or outdoor sports equipment.
Thank you!

3 years agoTwo huge things! We've exceeded target! And the missing tables have been located. 2 are damaged & currently unsafe but our site team will try to repair. I'd already ordered 3 new tables for delivery next week - but we will have money spare, we will use this for more tables and/or put towards our fundraiser for outdoor equipment. We know money is tight for many people at the moment - so if you've donated and really would prefer a refund, please contact me at school - it was never our aim to make money only to replace what was missing Justine
