I am going to ride 10 horses for 8 hours to help disadvantaged children!!!

I am a passionate and dedicated dressage rider - and I am interested in improving riding skills for anyone interested in horses. I am devoting 8 hours of my time on 15th April 2017 to raise money for Hoof Club Community Interest Company (CIC). This is a not for profit organisation committed to training and educating all young persons and budding riders in horse riding skills, particularly disadvantaged children and those with Special Education Needs. Hoof Club CIC already takes students from local special needs schools and provides them with educational equine training.
I will be riding 10 horses for 45 minutes each, at the Rein & Shine riding Centre in North Wiltshire to raise money for Hoof Club CIC which will be put towards purchasing and installing equine training mirrors. Any shortfall will be provided by Hoof Club CIC .
Sitting on, and riding a horse, requires good balance and posture which can be aided by the rider seeing themselves in mirrors. These equine mirrors are placed alongside the riding arena which enables the instructor to communicate using visual as well as verbal instruction.

Johanna McDonald a director of Hoof Club CIC says ‘the satisfaction I get from seeing disadvantaged and special needs persons benefiting from horse riding is immense. Their confidence and self esteem generally is improved by riding horses. It’s called equine Assisted Learning. These mirrors will speed up the riders’ knowledge and their appreciation of riding skills by improving their posture and riding position. These new riding aids will enable me to take on a greater range of riders and benefit the local community as a consequence.’
