Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Who Dares Cares is a charity that is not registered on this site, and is in dire need of donations. They provide help to people from all walks of life with PTSD and anxiety-related disorders. They run purely on the work of volunteers, volunteers who come from a range of health, social care and military backgrounds, and who are passionate beyond belief to their cause.
As part of treatment and help, Who Dares Cares provides: weekend retreat facilities, where individuals and families can spend a weekend away from the daily grind and relax in fun activities; PTSD awareness sessions to provide a better understanding and management of signs and symptoms of PTSD; walk talk and brew, a team of volunteers that meet with groups of people who maybe just want to clear their head, but have the support of our volunteers there to listen and offer advice etc.; a confidential place that allows people to vent and express things that they might feel they can’t elsewhere, with the support of other people in similar situations and most importantly, where volunteers are available to help assist where they can.
I will be running the Great North Run next year for this charity, in full military uniform and carrying a 20kg weighted Bergen backpack. I am 17. But this charity means a lot to me - it has helped my family in the past, it has helped friends of mine, it has helped the wider community of PTSD and anxiety sufferers.
It needs your help to keep going. Without donations, they cannot help, and they cannot run.

About the fundraiser
Bishop Auckland, UK
I'm a Cadet Sergeant in the RAFAC, planning to enter the Parachute Regiment as a reserve. Military and youth charities are my greatest passion. These people have sacrificed so much, or been willing to do so, for us, for centuries. They allow our children a future worth having.
