In Tanzania, 23 million people have no choice but to drink dirty water from unsafe sources. In Tanzania, 44 million people don't have access to adequate sanitation. In Tanzania, over 4,000 children die every year from disease and illness due to unsafe water and poor sanitation in Tanzania.

Raleigh is a charitable organization that has been working within rural communities in Tanzania for nearly 5 years battling these issues, organizing solutions and creating lasting and positive impacts on the lives of many parents and children who have not been privileged enough to live with what we take for granted. Clean water and sanitation.

I am going to be part of a team of volunteers who will be placed in a rural village to help improve their water and sanitation. We will be speaking with the the community leaders to identify the major issues, raising awareness and educating the community on hygiene and how to avoid illness and we will also be taking part in infrastructure and resource developments.

As the organization is largely funded by the government, the money raised will largely go straight into the communities that Raleigh works in, helping impact the lives of many individuals directly.
