It is with extreme pain and devastation to confirm that my Alfie collapsed and went into cardiac arrest whilst playing football at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai on the evening of Thursday 27th January 2022.

I am completely numb and shocked to my very core that this has happened. Not only have I lost Alf as the amazing person that he was but have also lost the rest of my life ahead as planned with him including our wedding celebrations in July and starting our own family.

Our beloved Alf had the biggest heart (as well as the ability to take the mick out of absolutely anyone or anything all in the sake of having a laugh!) and has always been somebody that people love to be around. His love of football and golf (and pretty much any other sport) was how he met and became loved by so many people wherever we would go and I know that there has been so much respect shown and tributes to him across the community who are all so shocked and saddened by this awful tragedy.

I am currently arranging the formalities in order to repatriate him to the UK where the funeral will be held. Date TBC.

We will be having an informal get together for those here in Dubai on Saturday 5th of February at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club at 3pm. So please feel welcome to come along and share your good memories of Alfie with us.

He has left such a massive hole that will never be filled and I am beyond heartbroken.
