On my 56th! birthday, 6am start Sat 4th Aug 2018 along the North Downs Way event organised by Centurion Running. Farnham Surrey to Ashford Kent non stop and a cut off time limit of 30 hours, and 13 checkpoints with STRICT cut offs, 1 minute over and YOU ARE OUT! No excuses. You HAVE to KNOW the route! It’s like doing LONDON, BOSTON, NEW YORK & PARIS marathons one after other, and navigating your way no marshals! Plus the above marathons are flat road terrain, 80% of the NDW route is track rubble stones, roots, overgrown in places, list is endless. Not to mention the countless stair step climbs! A freaky affair being out there alone in woods and fields by about 9pm Saturday evening to attack the night session, with fields of cows, sheep or horses. Or tripping up in darkness, route don't look the same as daytime! Not looking to break records, just finish in cut off time of 30hr, anything better an unexpected bonus.

I tried it last year got half way with a knee injury that just would not carry me further. So this is my 2nd and last go. Your kind sponsorship this time will spur me to finish, I never asked last time.

Chris Aked Foundation Cancer Appeal UK a fellow runner lost her husband very suddenly to cancer and our running club has kindly taken the cause on for its 2018 charity.

EHN Nepal is a run by a very good friend Wayne who has tirelessly worked to build school and education facilities in Nepal. I am supporting him as a wonderful kind person and ambassador for his organisation.
