I have never just thought it would be nice to have a child if one came along, i’ve always known that becoming a mother is the thing which will make me a whole and fulfilled person. After years of trying, and a sad relationship breakdown because of it, I found myself with an abusive and controlling partner and it has taken me 2 years to finally be free. I am sad that it feels like a waste of the years I could have been with someone who loved me instead, and still trying for a child. Now I am turning 40 and on my own, but at last safe and secure. So i am going it alone, and through a clinic with donor sperm I want to at last try, really try, to do the one thing I feel like I was made to do.
