Hi , I am Ben Pearce and as part of my volunteering challenge I will be living and working as part of the community in three distinct regions of Ecuador: the highlands, the Amazonian rainforest and the coast.

I will be doing this for a month in the summer of 2019 and will be helping local adults and children improve their quality of life in a sustainable way and, supporting various environmental projects to safeguard the future of some pretty impressive wildlife including sea turtles.

While I am there I will be involved in a variety of activities including:

laying foundations for buildings
refurbishing community schools
building homes
planting trees
clearing away plastic pollution
building monkey feeders
teaching local children football and supporting them in learning activities
learning local crafts
