Sonny is 15 months old. He was born with spina bifida (missing part of his spina cord), hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain squashing the ventricles in his brain) and fixed talapies (clubbed feet with achillies tendon tightening) He has had 6 operations so far and due to have more in the near future. He has got to the stage now where wheelchairs are on the agenda!! The spina bifida team have suggested/ recommended a wheelchair that is perfect for sonny, in the picture above he was testing out another beautiful babies wheelchair.. can you see that beautiful smile on his face? its due to the freedom and quickness of getting about ! this wheelchair will allow him to have more Independence to play and get about indoors or outdoors, come on you have seen his face. now unfortunately due to lack of NHS funding we cannot be supplied with this fantastic wheelchair... these chairs are only made in the USA! so we are having to ask for any donations/ charity that anyone could be ever so generous with. The amount we would like to raise is £1100 for the basic wheelchair of its kind, It is called zip zac r2. As you can imagine they add extra for a handle (£200) and straps (£100) also shipping costs etc.. We really are so grateful to everyone who has shown us support and helped us through such a difficult time. we are forever grateful.
