'Fund A Fellow' is a campaign run by the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists that aims to train 500 fellows and reach 1 million patients by 2020.

They rely on donations to fund fellowships in low-income countries which sponsor anaesthetists to further their education in another low-income country (thus providing relevant experience). Some of these fellowships are specifically in Regional Anaesthesia and some of them are run in South America.

As you would all be aware, Regional Anaesthesia and Education were great passions of Al’s and he loved his time travelling in South America. Helping to fund these fellowships seems a very fitting way to further preserve the memory of the contributions he made to us all both personally and professionally. Our aim is to sponsor both regional fellowships that the WFSA run in Latin America.

We want this fund to become sustainable and provide a lasting memory however in order to get it up and running soon we request your donation. We are very grateful for any help that you can offer.
