    Story

This Just Giving Page has been set up to allow all residents to contribute to the not insignificant cost of all signage and any equipment used by the individuals who have volunteered to patrol the lane. That would include Street signage, Hi Vis jackets for Street Patrols etc...

    • Neighbourhood Watch Signs with Zone Numbers, as shown in the cover image above, will be attached to lampposts throughout our community; to make it clear this is a Neighbourhood Watch area and indicate which zone you’re currently in.

    • Neighbourhood Watch/CCTV Wheelie Bin Stickers should be made available to all residents who’d like them. This additional signage will remind any potential thief or fly tipper that they are being watched. The wheelie bin signs will include eyes, which has been proven to make this type of warning sign more effective.

    • Neighbourhood Watch Window Stickers should be made available to all residents who’d like them; as another means of dissuading intrusion in to your home.

    • Street Patrols with Visibility Vests - To be worn by at least some members of each patrol, to make them more visible to undesirable people and speeding motorists, and to reassure residents who may see them wondering around the lane at night.

    • A UV Spray with Alarm will be made available to patrols, for use in the unlikely event of confrontation. It will mark the assailant and set off a 138dB alarm to warn everyone in the area and alert other members of the Neighbourhood Watch.

    • And finally, the idea of a summer street party was suggested at the meeting and has been discussed on several occasions within the group. So, in the event that the Just Giving Page receives any surplus of donations, all additional funds will contribute to a summer street party to promote community spirit.
