Weʼve raised £55 to help fund my travels to Australia later this year to compete for GB in the Underwater Hockey World Championships!!
- Funded on Saturday, 27th May 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
I have recently been selected to represent Great Britain in the age group World Championships in Australia later this year. This is my fourth World Championships I will be playing in, but the most expensive.
Because underwater hockey is a minority sport, it receives little to no funding. As a result of this I have to pay out for the following:
*Affiliation
*Training fees
*Training camps in Leeds (fuel, accommodation, pool fees) - twice a month
*Kit
Aswell as the cost of the competition:
*Tournament fees
*GB kit
*Accomodation
*Flights
*Insurance
*Food over there
*Physiotherapist
As you can imagine all these costs begin to add up, and the estimated cost for this one competition is roughly £3000!!!
Our team this year is looking really strong and defiantly in with a chance of winning a medal. Any money you donate will go towards making this happen and supporting me in my training in the build up to the main competion.
I am not expecting a lot, but every gym session counts, every swim counts, every flick counts and most importantly... every penny counts. Thank you in advance for any donations you make, I'm extremely grateful and I will keep you all updated on how I do in the Championships!!
Thank You 💪🏼🇬🇧🥇🏆
