I am doing a skydive to raise money for a very special dog that was rescued by a fabulous charity in Romania, AMA Dog Rescue.

AMA is located on the outskirts of Bucharest and run by an amazing lady Ana Marie Amarazeanu who has devoted her life to animal welfare. Romania can be a very very harsh place for dogs and Ana has rescued many dogs from the public shelters and saved them from the next days kill list or from the streets before the dog catchers take them. Many dogs are dumped on the side of the road or in fields purely because they are unwell or pregnant.

I am doing my jump for a lovely dog called Merida. Whilst driving back to the shelter she was spotted on the side of the road looking so sad and in such a bad way. She was trying to get food out of an old tin can.

She is clearly a pet that has been dumped as is elderly with lots of health issues. She is now safe and able to have food and fresh water.

She has already received excellent medical treatment from Ana and her team but there is still a fair way to go. The amazing news is that she has already been offered a beautiful new home in the UK

All of the money that I raise will be going to getting Merida fit and healthy and finally in her new home where she will be able to enjoy open spaces and fresh grass and plants. Also, she will have some lovely friendly buddies to welcome her into her new home
