My son, Aaron (18), is about to graduate from his 2 year BTEC course in Music Production with a distinction *. He has done the best he possibly could on this course getting a distinction in every assignment. This is a massive achievement for him as education has been a real challenge for him due to his autism. He left school with no qualifications at all. I am so proud of how well he has done and he is an amazing musician/electronic artist. He has taught himself piano and makes electronic dance music. You can hear his stuff here:

Currently he is working really hard to try and make money out of his talent and he has the opportunity to study in London on the Artist Development course at Access to Music. Sadly the college he is currently at has to close otherwise he would have stayed at home and completed this crucial year in Brighton.
The course he wants to do is the same course that has successfully launched the careers of people like Ed Sheeran and is very prestigious. the good news is that it is free! However, it does not attract any loans to cover living costs and as there is no support for 18-21 year olds from the government for housing anymore, we are stumped as to how to afford to support him to do this course. His Dad and I will of course be able to give him some of what he needs but not all.
We are hoping to raise money through here to support him to at least get settled in London and cover his living costs while he gets to grips with moving away, starting the course and managing his own life and until he starts to earn his own money through his music or a job.
We are not sure what this figure will be but estimate rent to be about £600/month and about £400/month for living expenses. It would be good to at least be able to support him fully for up to 6 months so he can focus on the course before he is under pressure to earn a living. To give him the best chance of making it we would like to support him for a year.
