As many of you know, we sadly lost our beloved Border Collie, Taffy, just before Christmas from kidney failure.
He fought so hard to give us as much time with him as possible and that's how he lived his life - to the full. Coming from death row in Wales at 8 months old with a severe neck injury and huge trust issues with any human. We slowly gained his trust and he became the most loyal and affectionate dog we could have ever wished for with a huge heart and personality.
He's left a massive hole in our lives so we have decided to adopt 'Moglis' a border collie/flat coat retriever/mountain dog mix from Thessaloniki, Greece - he had no enquiry during his 9 month stay and overlooked every time.
He had a very sad beginning - found on a rubbish tip at 2 months old all alone surviving on scraps and stones.
It took quite awhile for him to recover from malnutrition and dehydration.
The girls at 'Eden' work tirelessly to save neglected, unwanted, injured, abused, poisoned, shot and abandoned dogs. Many are rescued from places where it's beyond comprehension what the dogs endure.

I'm passionate about rescue dogs and both our previous dogs have been rescues - both from Last Chance.

I've always supported Last Chance Animal Rescue based at Edenbridge, Kent and in fact our first dog, Bess, has a plaque dedicated in her memory from a previous donation up in the special care wing. As Taffy was rescued by the team there I feel 50% of what I raise should go here too to help continue their vital work.

So in April I will be running the London Marathon in Taffy's memory and in his honour will raise as much as I can to help other dogs in need.
