Global Hands is an organization that aims to build capacity in individuals in The Gambia so that they are equipped to develop their skills and manage their own lives as well as any issues they face. The core business of Global Hands is education and public engagement. Their work involves building sustainable development socially, politically, environmentally and economically. Their ethos is based around the idea of “Teaching people to fish, rather than giving them the fish" Myself, along with a group of other students and co-coordinators will be travelling to The Gambia to participate in the Global Hands project. Our work will involve volunteering in the community, running workshops and working on problems to support young people in The Gambia. I have funded my own costs therefore no funds will be deducted to cover participation expenses. All funds raised on this page will go towards the cause, supporting the work of Global Hands and young Gambians e.g. in education buying school supplies, books, shoes, school bags, etc!

Alrhough there is a target set, if we exceed this target amount that's all the better!
