Hello,

We are raising money to build and create a sensory room for children with SEND and behavioural problems in a local school.

Sensory Rooms can help those who have learning difficulties, developmental disabilities or sensory impairments learn to interact with the world around them, but in a safe environment that builds up their confidence and their abilities. The user gets an unrestrained non-threatening space where they can explore at their own leisure. This freedom lets their teacher see what calms them, rouses them and what they like or don’t.

Benefits of sensory rooms include: Sensory Stimulation, Enhance Learning and Play, Improve Balance, Movement and Spatial Orientation, Tackle Problems With Behaviour

The project is dependant solely on donations alone and the team are actively reaching out to the community for support. The more money raised means more specialised equipment for children with a high level of needs. Any small amount will be greatly appreciated.

We will also be holding various fundraising events in the local area and would welcome anyone who would like to come and support us at these. We will keep you updated with the details of these events.
