Hi all,

I will be going to Colombo, Sri Lanka in July for 2 weeks as a volunteer. I'll be going with a group of volunteers as part of an organisation called VoluntEars. The main purpose of this trip is to leave a positive long lasting impact on the local deaf children and by doing that, we will get to help to maintain and improve a local deaf school. We will have to renovate school playground and dormitories to ensure children are learning in the best environment as possible. I will be staying with a local family in Sri Lanka and during the weekends, we will get to take part in a sea turtle conservation project and learn about their culture. The costs will go towards accommodation, transport to school from home and back and work materials for renovations to a local deaf school. Not costs like flights and spendings for myself.
