Weʼre raising £300 to help create "Sheroes in Wonderland" summer tea party and fair to raise money for Refuge!
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for Refuge, and any donation will help make my "Sheroes Wonderland" a reality. After 20 years as a victim of domestic abuse alongside my mum and sisters, we are finally free! Our abuser was shipped off to prison and now, we want to have some fun and raise some money and awareness in the process.
One of the many results of domestic abuse is psychological trauma, something I, unfortunately, suffer from. Despite this, I am desperately trying to raise awareness, campaign for better domestic violence laws in England, and support charities that have supported me in this difficult time. We have a journey, however, my starting point: Sheros in Wonderland.
Refuge Sheroes are heroes who stand up for equality and challenge violence against women and girls. My plan is to hold a woodland tea party where families can come and enjoy some cake, play games, jump on inflatables, have their faces painted, be amongst nature, eat some food and donate at the same time!
By donating here you are firstly making a difference to an incredible organisation, but also assisting in the cost it will take to build and gather the equipment required for our Sheroes in Wonderland fundraiser. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to my family and me.
I'm a Refuge Shero- You can be too!
