Weʼre raising £600 to raise money in memory of Rachel Edwards. Any money donated will be split equally between MIND UK and A Way With Pain
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In May 2017 we lost our strong, beautiful and inspiring Rachel Edwards. Rachel had been struggling with chronic pain for years caused by nerve damage after breaking her back and damaging her spinal cord.
We would like to raise money for A Way With Pain (a charity that provides support and information for sufferers of chronia pain) and also awareness of chronic pain itself.
In recent times mental health has become something people have become more aware of. We would also like to raise money on Rachel’s behalf for MIND UK. This charity very close to our hearts. Rachel was diagnosed with bipolar shortly after an accident, which caused the nerve damage to her back. Rachel’s strength and courage enabled her learn to walk again after breaking her back and also helped her take control of the bipolar. Rachel became a peer support worker for MIND and used her own experiences to help others. This is why we believe she’d be proud of us raising money for this charity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and a massive thank you for any donations and support we receive.
