My name is Ana.

My daughter plays basketball and she has made it to the last 12 girls chosen to represent Southeast on the Under 13 National Competition against other regions on the 08/09 of July in Manchester.

After the Olympic Games the funding for Basketball kept lowering until this year that is now inexistent, meaning every child/junior has to find the funds for the accommodation, travel, food and to contribute towards uniform/kit, venue hire and referees, basically we will pay as a group for everything.

This event promotes the juniors towards a Development program, like a pathway to play for England National squad. It allows GB specialists coaches to select competent players who aspire to play higher basketball for England Junior National Teams and GB at world class level. And it also helps promote Basketball amongst the schools and communities as the juniors become role models to their peers.

Each child has to raise a minimum of 250 pounds to cover costs.

Basketball appreciates your help, any amount is welcome. By supporting this event you are helping kids practice a great sport, and like any sport promote healthy lifestyles.

Any money raised is towards the main event on the 08 and 9 of July and for the purpose of the Under 13 Southeast Regional Development Team as part of England Basketball Southeast Region .
