This August I traveled to Bolivia, which was my first time in South America. There I met a young girl Andrea, who is only 21 years old but with a little baby girl. The father of the baby wasn't faithful to her, thus along with the baby girl, she decided to separate from him. She doesn't have a job, but at that time she still received alimony from her ex-partner, it was ok although it wan't much.

Later, she found that her little baby was sick and the treatment cost a lot of money. She turned to me for help, because her ex-partner didn't want to pay this medical cost for her daughter. Since she treated me quite well as family when I stayed in Bolivia, I was sympathetic to her situation. As a result, I lent her 1400€. She said she would try to return the money to me in the future when she starts to work, but actually I didn't expect that, not because I didn't trust her, rather for me the most important thing was that her baby girl could receive the treatment as soon as possible and get well soon.

With the money I lent her, the treatment started two weeks ago. We thought everything went well at first. However, since Andrea still has to pay the medical bills of medicine, injections, etc., her ex-partner, who is really irresponsible, saw that it is a huge amount of money, thus abandoned Andrea and the baby girl and ran away to Argentina. When she went to the house of her ex-partner, his parents cased her out and told her that never go there again.

Now, the treatment of the baby girl is finished and she is recovering. However, without paying the medical bills, Andrea can't take her daughter home from the hospital. She doesn't have any idea where can she get this amount of money. I feel sad for her situation but since I really can't give her that much this time, I decide to raise fund for her.
