Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Myself along with some Colleagues are completing the Waterfalls Walk in The Breacon Beacons to fundraise for our nominated Charity, The Willow Trust.
The Willow Trust is a charity that offers freedom for the disabled on the water by providing days out for children and adults with learning and physical disabilities and those who are seriously ill.
The Trust has two boats based at Saul Junction, and guests can enjoy the excitement of adventure and the therapy of tranquillity in beautiful surroundings – all travelling totally free of charge.
The Willow Trust have two broad beamed, fully wheelchair accessible canal boats moored near Frampton on Severn and every weekday for 7 months of the year the boats are used to give disabled and seriously ill children and adults the unique experience of spending a therapeutic day on the water. The facilities on board allow even the most profoundly disabled child or adult to spend a day away from their usual surroundings.
During a year up to 7,000 disabled people with their carers spend a day with The Willow Trust totally free of charge. They do not receive grants of any description and until now undertook all their own fundraising, which is one of the key reasons why we felt this was a deserving charity to raise money for.
Any donation will be greatfully received.
