Story
Nothing like leaving it to the last minute but on 23rd June I’m doing a 42.7 mile cycle ride having not rode my bike anything like this distance before, so it should be a breeze!
I’m doing this to help support a really worthy cause with Dominique's dad, Paul Forshaw, and my uncle Dave Jones. This is a project of the St Vincent De Paul Society (SVP) of which Dominique’s dad is involved at St Bernadette’s & St Michaels churches in Whitefield, Manchester. It’s also something my girls are involved in at school through the ‘Mini Vinnies’.
This project is in aid of the SVP's twinned conference in Kaloor, Southern India to help them help poor families become self supported and start their own businesses through practical help.
So while I’m not looking forward to the distance I am looking forward to the journey which is visiting the football grounds of North Manchester and Salford starting by visiting Gigg Lane (Bury) and then onto Spotland (Rochdale FC), Boundary Park (Oldham AFC),Broadhurst Park ( FC United of Manchester), The Etihad (Man City), Old Trafford (Man United) and finishing at Moor Lane (Salford City FC) on Saturday 23rd June.
Depending on how much I can raise I might even post some photos of men in lycra outside each ground or feel free to sponsor me not to!
Thankyou in advance for any support you can offer
