What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Being fit and healthy has a big role to play in helping young people and that's why I'm taking on My Mighty Marathon challenge and completing 26 miles in 26 days this January. However i have decided to treble the distance.

Starting on 1 January, I can skip, swim, walk the dog, skateboard, unicycle - whatever I want so long as I complete my own Mighty Marathon by 26 January!

im taking part in #mymightymarathon to promote the importance of the Sea cadets in the Uk. I have recently joined the cadets as a member of staff and can see the potential to better the youths of today. In a survey 72% of think sea cadets helps develop skills for the future.91% say Sea Cadets has enabled them to take part in a wide range of activities from climbing, kayaking, sailing, shooting etc.

66% of cadets said Sea Cadets improved their attendance and engagement at school. the Cadets os about giving young adults life skills and nationally recongised qualifications in catering, watersports, landsports, nvq’s, btec’s and many more.

18,667 boating qualifications were awarded to cadets in the last boating season and we help from you, we ensure these numbers continue to grow.
