Story
I have known June all my life and her generous Husband Les who sadly passed away. He was a toff too.We used to live down a small Street in Hull that was very friendly and vey nice to be brought up with other Children including, her nice Daughter Karen. June would not hurt anyone and would just go about her daily business talking to her friendly neighbours. This was a close street of families who all cared for each other through good and bad times. When I saw the advert I thought nothing but empathy for this lovely women who is now at the tender and brilliant age of 85 years. This week she was visiting a cash point in the City to collect her hard saved Christmas gift money of £450 when someone who cannot be described because there are no words to explain fully this nasty and thoughtless crime. They robbed her of the savings before making off from the location. I know that this money would have taken June a long time to save for gifts etc during this festive and a supposedly nice season of good will to all. I am glad that she was not hurt in this despicable act as you could no way expect her to react or fight the offender back due to her age. Although I reckon in her earlier years she would have given it a good go. Hopefully, someone will inform the police of this nasty and thoroughly thoughtless offender. Maybe you are a friend who knows the offender? I know that I am asking far to much for some one knows the offender to hand themselves into the police or at least get the £450 pounds back to June.
It makes me so sad that some heartless person could do this to my Friend at this festive time when all should be happy with their families buying cards and gifts to celebrate Christmas. She has had this taken away from her in a whim by a callous person who has no regard for people especially the elderly. All they are interested are in themselves and true greed. All I ask of you nice and kind people out there to give a donation large or small it does not matter. Just help.

8 years agoFinal touch for June. A kind Donor from Hornsea showed his sympathy, empathy and great charity in giving June a full cheques for the full amount £450.00 on BBC that she had taken from her at the cash. We have kindly raised the sum of forty five pounds of which is made up of retired police officers and a kind Ambassador of CRUK. Thank you all x. There is still time to donate so she maybe able to buy herself something nice. No pressure but Thank you all who contributed.x This will hopefully give her chance to maybe buy something for hersle

8 years agoA tremendous start today raising £45 pounds from very generous and kind friends . Although, its a great start please consider helping me to raise the money for June in time for Christmas. I spoke to June today twice the last time being over 30 years ago when we where Neighbours. She is a bit battered and bruised but also immensely overwhelmed at the kindness and generosity shown by strangers to her but great people to me. Thank you for your help in this kind task but we need more of you to assist me. I know it is an expensive time. Please help.

8 years agoI have just been given my first supportive money gesture by a very kind Friend who shows no bounds to his generosity. It brings back my faith in peoples generosity when charities etc are all seeking money and there is only so much to go round. I have spoken to June this morning and have not done so for many years but I still have happy fond memories of that small street in Hull that had friendly kind neighbours that has now changed forever like so many now. June was overwhelmed at the setting up of a just giving page purely for her loss.Amazing
