I am running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart. My boss lost her daughter to stomach cancer and her family has set up a foundation in her name, The Vicky Sergides Foundation. The foundation enables families to enjoy experiences with their loved ones for the last time by paying for holidays and time away from work. When my dad was in the last days of his life, my boss was kind enough to let me take time off of work and spend some time with him. I will always be grateful to her for this and want to say thank you by raising money for this worthwhile charity.
