    Story

Please help our project, i am a mum, nurse & Aesthetic Practitioner but have with 2 other mums spent just over a year and many hours fundraising for this project. We have currently raised £10.485 .

The project is to build a new skate park on the recreation ground in the village of Feltwell, Norfolk.

The total capital cost of the project is £75,000 based on a 2017 build.
The project aims to achieve the following:
Improving the health of local people through physical activity
Increasing opportunities for the local community to take part in leisure activities.
Providing a programme of affordable, accessible, structured activities for local children and young people
Improving sports facilities in the local area by providing a new, high quality community resource

Feltwell Village is the largest in Norfolk with a population of over 4,500. We have limited access to sport/leisure activities within our community therefore parents have to commute for children to be active. Our playing field has only a small park which mainly caters for the younger of the village, one zip wire and a neglected tennis court.

    The Project

The project is to provide a new open access, free to use Skate Park on the recreation ground. The aim is to provide an exciting, safe and dynamic facility that will have broad appeal to skateboarders, scooter and BMX riders and roller blades.
The facility has been designed based on extensive local consultation and assessing other similar open access village facilities.
The design of the facility ensures that the features are well spaced and flow from one to another seamlessly with spacing exceeding ROSPA guidelines. It caters for beginners whilst also being challenging for more experienced riders

    What will it look like?
It will be a concrete facility which is robust and is the best for noise reduction. It is also safer and smoother with rounded edges, less slippery than metal and low maintenance with a 30-year guarantee. It
