Angus is our little French bulldog who is 1 year and 5 months old, born on 7th May 2016. He's a lovely little character who is cheeky and full of mischief but loves to relax and have a cuddle on the sofa. Sadly on the 15th June, Angus broke his elbow in various places and after nearly 4 months, it has become infected causing him pain.

After various visits to the vets to see what can be done, the vet has talked about his quality of life and that we have 2 choices. To try operate again on his elbow or amputate the leg, or to operate on his breathing which is getting worse.

The problem is Angus has Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) which means he struggles to breathe, this causes him to throw up his food every time he eats and he struggles to keep any food down.

If we operate on the leg first, our vet has said that he thinks Angus with his breathing issues will not cope on 3 legs and will have no quality of life. He has suggested that we do the BOAS surgery first as it's the most serious. Once he has recovered, he will then be able to get the leg surgery.

Our insurance has covered the operation on Angus' leg but will not cover the BOAS surgery as they say it is a pre-existing condition. We have been quoted by the specialist in Glasgow that the surgery will be £2500.

We have set up this crowd funding page as we are desperate to help Angus have the normal life that dogs have such as go for a walk and be able to eat a meal. We wouldn't be setting up this page if we didn't think it was 100% necessary. Any donations would be really appreciated.
