Koh Samet is a beautiful tropical island but not all of its residents are as fortunate as the rest of us. Local authorities have set up free clinics throughout the year but they barely scratch the surface of the issue. Daily there are more litters of puppies and kittens being born around the island. We would like to team up with local authorities and a very helpful and charitable local vet who offers his team's services whenever required. We would like to work together to feed the soi dogs and befriend them so that over time we can slowly work at blanket neutering and spaying to stop the numbers getting out of control. If we can keep these numbers down then feeding them and taking care of them medically should become a much more manageable job.

On top of feeding the soi animals we would love to team up with the Vet and try to offer a weekly clinic to help animal owners become more responsible for their pets as unwanted litters from personal pets are often dumped to fend for themselves. Thus working against the hard work local authorities have been doing to stem the birth rate of soi animals.

We have the time, we want to help but we need a bit of financial help if we are to really make a difference for these beautiful animals. The dream would be to one day have a dog sanctuary or rescue centre on the island to offer the soi animals a happier and healthier existance but that's a long way off. We will start small and just take it day by day, let's see how much good we can do with your help.
