On 2nd January 2020, our friends mum, Anita, got diagnosed with cancer of the liver and was advised to start chemotherapy, after the 5th (out of 6) cycle they were told the chemo wasn't working and that the cancer had actually grown and that they should cherish the next few months as a family. It was heartbreaking!

Determined not to let this awful disease beat them they sought a second opinion by a private liver cancer specialist at the London Clinic in Hammersmith, where they were told there is a surgery that can prolong the life of Anita for up to years but unfortunately isn't available on the NHS and comes at a cost of £30,000.00.

On Friday 21st August, Anika (Anita's daughter) Ali, Vicky & Ashleigh will be taking on The Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge, this is 25 miles of hill walking to be completed in 12 hours, in a hope to help this beautiful family and our dear friends raise a little bit more towards there target.
