    Story

Autism is a lifelong incurable disorder. Together, my daughter with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and myself, her advocate, have been affirmed as ‘experts by experience’ by TEWV NHS trust, following our training. We write and deliver our face to face training, and always received very positive feedback. As a result, we presented to the Royal College of Psychiatrists annual conference at the Sage.

However, we want to widen our influence to promote greater understanding and knowledge about this hidden disability. Hence now financing our own high quality interactive e-training package and assessment tool. A local media company will produce and market it, at a cost of £2 000. As a relatively young and very small, not for profit company, we do not have the available funds ourselves.

We aim to access as wide an audience as possible. We aim to change the lives of people on the spectrum positively. We aim to increase awareness of how difficult it is to lead a ‘normal’ life with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Together, we might achieve the required amount. On our own we cannot.

Thank you in anticipation of a donation, however small.

Well folks. A big thank you to everyone who has donated. We have not reached our grand total through JustGiving but Jenna and I are going ahead with our project. It is our baby. Our ambition to provide quality affordable autism training to as many places as we can. NHS, schools, DWP. We have put in our own money received from delivering face to face training and we are off. The media company are on board. The page will remain open a bit longer in case anyone else wants to donate. Our enduring gratitude.

My 28 year old daughter would have benefited from higher awareness of Autism amongst her teachers. Good luck with your project.
