Here goes....

Everyone who knows me, knows that I am not exactly at the peak of physical fitness. This plus my love of food (especially cake) is going to make this even harder. Infact, the only reason I am doing this, is the promise of a 3 course meal at the end :)

What have I signed up for?
The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge.

why am I doing this?
Simple answer. To improve my fitness, but I am not requesting donations to increase my life span, that would just be silly. I figured that I need to do this for my own health but why not raise funds for a good cause at the same time?

When our son, Alfie arrived 3 weeks early and a little on the small side, it was a worrying time. However, thanks to the amazing staff on the Maternity ward at James Cook Hospital, this was turned into a very positive experience. Without the constant support, reassurance and care delivered to Alfie and Myself, things could have been different. So, to show my appreciation, I am wanting to raise money for the ward to buy equipment and enable them to continue supporting families like ours, (or possibly a helicopter rescue mission if all goes wrong).
