Hello, I am 14 Year old Anna Shevlin. I have decided to do a 5 or 10K run with my dad. The main reason I have chosen to do this is that I would like to push myself to achieve something that I know will help people that are suffering with cancer, to hopefully give them a longer life to live and for them to hopefully be in remission. Cancer has affected my family with four members havening had cancer. Unfortunately two members are no longer with us and I don't want families to go through the pain that we have been through, and will carry on to feel. We lost my Grandad (Mums Dad) in 2012, and then we lost my Mama Cyn (Dads Mum) in 2014, it still massively hurts.

However, on a positive note, there are some lucky people who have survived cancer and are in remission. I would like to help as I am enoumously grateful for the help and support that the nurses have given my family and others of those that have lost their battle, those that are fighting and the survivors like my Nana and more recently my Uncle Daren.
