    Story

To those who have already donated to this page in mind of Tracy having stem cell treatment in Belgrade, unfortunately it has been decided by Tracy’s consultant that it would be medically unsafe for her to travel now due to her deterioration.

Please take the time to read Tracys story, thank you.

Before Tracys diagnosis of relapsing remitting MS she lived a busy fulfilled life as a single mum, working as a financial assisstant at a local primary school. She was always active, taking her daughter for days out in the car and always on the go!

She began to experience numbness and stiffness in her hands and legs, after various tests over a period of about a year she was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS. As you can imagine this was a huge shock to Tracy and her family but she continued to carry on with her normal busy life. Over the next few years Tracys symptons didnt get any better despite several treatments, she experienced many relapses and was given steroids to help but nothing made any significant improvement and unfortunately things only got worse for her.

Over the past year Tracy has contracted sepsis and was extremely poorly, she was in hospital for about a month and this is when she lost most of her mobility and eventually lost all weight baring function. She also lost her independence to drive and be self sufficient and she was assessed as needing a full care package of two carers four times a day. In September she was rushed to hospital after having a seizure due to a urine infection and it was also discovered she had multiple blood clots on her lungs caused by her lack of mobility.

In October we thought there may be some hope for Tracy when she was admitted to Queens Hospital in Romford for a 9 week treatment/rehab programme. It was unfortunately decided at the end of the programme that it hadnt been successful and she had now progressed to secondary progressive MS for which there is currently no treatment.

Tracys one wish is for her to be able to walk or at least be able to weightbare again as this would gain back a little independence for her.

The NHS cannot provide Tracy with the intense amount of physio/rehab she needs, therefore we need to look at private neurophysio and this will come at a huge cost. This is where we need your help to help Tracy and her daughter have a better quality of life of which they both deserve.

Please help us to help Tracy!

Thank you for taking the time to read Tracys story. 🧡 #mshopefortracy

Thank you to everyone for raising a huge amount for Tracy’s neurophysio. Unfortunately Tracy is still in hospital but we are really hoping she should be home in a matter of weeks now 🤞 She has recently had Botox injections in her legs which will help massively when she begins her private neurophysio at home. She is overwhelmed by everyones support and kindness and thanks you all from the bottom of her heart. You are all amazing! From Trace, Deb, Danny, Ali and all our family and friends! Xxx
