Weʼre raising £1,500 to help fund for Footprints Orphanage and my voluntary work there in August 2019.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Footprints Orphanage operates in the Shimba Hills, Kenya and was founded by Kerry Watson. The vision of this charity is simple, to provide parental care, security, and a sense of belonging for neglected children. Since its opening in 2007, the charity has grown from strength to strength and is now home to 34 children. Myself and Jake upon hearing about this Charity, were inspired by its humble roots and its ethos resonated with our desire to help provide what we are so lucky enough to have here in the UK. Our goal is to head out there in August 2019 to volunteer with the Footprints Orphanage.
As two University students, leaving home has really highlighted the importance of family and the emotional support and development it plays an integral role in. Volunteering with Footprints and being able to support the care and education (we will be teaching the children how to read and write in English) of children who through no fault of their own, have been left without safety or family, is something we both feel strongly we want to do at this point in our lives.
The money raised will be going toward funding our travel out to Kenya and the donation that is required for the 3 weeks we plan to volunteer there. This is required to cover the cost of food, accommodation, transport to and from the Airport and a contribution towards the running of the orphanage itself.
Any donation to help us reach our target and get out to Kenya to help the deserving children of the Footprints Orphanage, will be greatly appreciated.
