Story
Anna is autistic and has learning difficulties. Her life has not been easy and she knows what it's like to be bullied and abused. She wants to help disabled street children in Kolkata and this is her mission in life. She really cares about them and has raised £1,450 over two years which goes towards keeping them safe and is targeted at a few children. However, one of the children, Jyoti, who was born blind and lives by the railway track, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Anna wants to raise £500 as soon as possible to provide Jyoti with drugs to reduce the swelling and to give her a chance to live. Anna has already given some money but time is short and money raised will go directly to buy drugs Jyoti desperately needs now.

October 9th 2018. Jyoti is still improving and doing well. The drugs are working and we are all hopeful that the tumour will go away. We will monitor her progress and post information on the 'Different-Lives' website. Thanks for giving Joyti a lifeline. Anna and Jon.

6 years ago30th July. Good news! Little Jyoti is doing well. The drugs are working and there are signs of improvement. The swelling under her eye has almost gone and we are hopeful that the tumour on her brain will diminish and either disappear or make surgery a possibility in the future. This is more than we dared hope for. More drugs are still needed.Thank you for your support.

6 years agoJune - Jyoti has been in hospital again and is very ill. The drugs Anna has supplied will take time to work. Jyoti's family live just along the railway line in Kolkata where Anna is standing.
