The Alzheimer Research Foundation (Fondation Recherche Alzheimer/Stichting Alzheimer Onderzoek) is a Belgian non-profit organisation led by Wilfried Nys whose primary goal is to provide financial support for clinical and scientific research into the causes and treatment methods of Alzheimer's disease and related brain diseases. The Foundation supports established research projects but also provides funding for pilot studies by young researchers and university projects that focus on the disease. The Foundation is solely dependent on donations and gifts from organisations and individuals.
