Hi,
A few of years ago, I decided I wanted to start growing my hair. I'd always had short hair up until then and i though ' why not try something new?' Some of my friends had done the same thing, but with an end goal of cutting it and donating it or money they had raised, to charity. I was taken by the idea and decided that I would do that too. I've been growing my hair for just over three years, and I'm going to cut it in December, so i am trying to raise as much money as possible for charity by then.

The two charities I've chosen to donate the money I raise are Mind, a charity supporting children and teenagers with mental illnesses, and The Teapot trust, a charity that gives art therapy and suport to children and teens fighting long term or terminal illnesses.

Having grown my hair for so long, which i didnt find easy given that i was not at all used to having long hair, and having to restrain myslef a number of times from cutting it again, especially when the immeasurable irratation of finding you don't have a hair band on you becomes a frequent part of everyday life, I'm quite proud I've held out for so long to be honest, and the charities I'm donating to support issues that are quite close to my heart , which is why it would mean so so much to me if you would donate some money, it doesn't have to be much, but it would mean the world to me if you did.
