"Fearfully proud. Love from all."
In 1913, York suffragette Annie Seymour Pearson was imprisoned in Holloway Prison. On her release, the York members of the WSPU sent her a telegram which read "Fearfully proud. Love from all."
Ten days ago, I was the photographer in a delegation which processed the Suffrage Centenary Flag through York to her graveside to discover it overgrown and unmarked. We wish to place a lasting memorial to her on the grave in this the centenary year of women's suffrage
