Weʼve raised £1,330 to buy much needed winter supplies for 3 amazing charities - The Wellspring, Wood Street Mission and Stockport Without Abuse

    Disley, Stockport, UK
Funded on Friday, 28th December 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

In Christmas 2017 Ant and his wife Kerry decided to give something back, donating 26 Rucksacks full of useful items such as hats, gloves, hand warmers, toiletries, snacks & books to the homeless charity, The Wellspring Foundation in Stockport, as part of their annual rucksack project.

This year, James and Dawn have decided to join forces and we would like to help as many people as possible throughout the festive period and hopefully beyond.

Specifically, for Christmas 2018 we are looking to help three different charities based in and around Stockport and Greater Manchester. This is where all of you, wonderful and hopefully extremely charitable people are about to get pestered.

We are looking for donations big and small (but preferably big!) to put together three pots to buy much-needed items for each of the charities we will be supporting.

The Wellspring runs and takes part in The Rucksack Project for Stockport. Donations of items for The Rucksack project can be made at anytime. Wellspring staff and volunteers provide regular street outreach, giving donated Rucksack Project Items out directly to people on the streets. The Wellspring also operates a clothing and item store that homeless people can access daily.

We will be aiming to provide:

    - Rucksacks with essentials

    - Sleeping Bags

    - Winter Coats

    - Food

    - Toiletries

Wood Street Mission has provided toys for local children at Christmas since the charity began in 1869, and it continues to be our busiest time of year. Every year, thanks to our supporters, we collect thousands of toys and goodies to distribute to families in need across Manchester and Salford.

We will be aiming to provide:

    - Toys & Selection Boxes

    - Clothing

    - Shoes

    - Bedding

    - Food

Stockport Without Abuse is a local charity which offers a range of services to help and support women, men and children who are affected by domestic abuse.

We will be aiming to provide:

    - Tinned food and pasta

    - Mops and buckets

    - New single quilts and new pillows

    - Kitchen utensils

    - Kitchen Bins

    - Pans
