Hi I'm Anthony, I am one of three brothers and together we are trying to get our step dad Andy to Australia, to meet his Real family after 47 years of knowing only that he's a Chapman but never knowing where he came from.

At the start of January 2016, my step dad received a letter in the post from a people finding organisation, saying that his brother was attempting to make contact. This opened a whole bottle of emotions for my step dad, and it has been strange for us as he is a man that never shows when things are troubeling him. now he has all these emotions that we can not even begin to comprehend or understand.

As a child Andy spent all his life in care, and his childhood was not a happy one. At 18 he left care and until he met us, had no family to call his own.

Andy came in to our lives at the age of 29 and took me an my 2 brothers (9,10 &13) under his wing as his own children. He supported us and our mum whatever the cost, this was no mean feat and the love and respect we have for Andy is beyond just the love for a father, he is our hero, our idle and our best friend. So it kills us that we are unable to help him as much as we would like.

Anyone who knows Andy will tell you, He is the most loving individual, who is passionate and hard working. He Is a man that gives without a second thought, a man of few words but always the wisest of words. I only hope to be half the father he has become.

Andy and his brother try to have as much contact as possible via Skype and email, currently his brother is teaching him to play the guitar by webcam. the connection we have witnessed between two siblings that have never met has warmed our hearts, and to be able to see a picture of our dad and his brother jamming would be a dream come true.
