'Any Change' is a project based on the ever-growing homeless crisis in the UK. Any Change was created from the testimonies of the homeless using the services of The Society of St James in Portsmouth. In Portsmouth alone, the number of rough sleepers has increased by 147% between 2015-2016 and continues to rise. By exploring some of the reasons for becoming homeless, and giving a number of those in the homeless community a voice, Any Change exposes several of the fundamental flaws in today’s society, allowing the audience an opportunity to consider an issue that they may overlook or simply avoid. Any Change enabled us to connect with the homeless community, create an authentic piece of theatre and share with audiences that have limited knowledge on the issue of homelessness.
