Story
Eb Appeti, the founder of The Appeti Tennis Centre needs your help to provide tennis equipment, balls and clothing for underprivileged children in Ghana, West Africa.
British born tennis professional, Eb Appeti, has joined forces with Tennis Foundation Ghana to fundraise for sports programs that are benefiting Ghanaian youth.
Eb, whose father was Ghanaian, is the founder of the Appeti Tennis Centre in Canterbury, UK. Appeti Tennis has been providing free and subsidized tennis instruction programs for children in Kent for many years.
Eb's father, Reg, bought Eb, his three brothers and sister up to believe that help should be given when and if needed. Reg was passionate about his home country and often sent out clothing, shoes, books and other items to help those that could not afford these things.
We use 200 Litre shipping barrels, each one costing around £150 to buy and ship.
So far we are proud to say that we have shipped 12 barrels to Ghana.
These barrels contained 2 ball machines, 35 rackets, 5500 tennis balls, 506 items of clothing and 54 pairs of tennis shoes. Many other items were kindly donated, such as notebooks, water bottles, racket bags and caps.
We currently have 2 barrels ready to be shipped to Ghana and aim to send 4 more barrels by the end of 2024.
We would love your help to achieve this through donations which will help in the buying and shipping costs of the barrels.
You can also donate any tennis equipment, clothing or other items you may have and these will be shipped directly to Ghana so that young children can play tennis.
We are really grateful for your support.
