Weʼre raising £10,000 to To Support the Armadillos Cricket Club and allow cricket to continue being played at Sheffield Park

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We are three games into a new cricket season that is brimming with fixtures against both old and new opponents. Demand and interest in playing cricket at Sheffield Park has never been higher. After decades of lying barren and forgotten, it is now ten years since cricket returned to our famous old ground, a natural moment to pass the baton to a younger generation of Dills.
Running a club like ours is a perennial balancing act financially. We don’t receive any grants and exist solely thanks to the kindness and generosity of our friends and members. We now face a meaningful maintenance and upgrading bill. This investment is necessary to set us up for the next ten years. Key projects include replacement of the sight screens, a new heavy roller and outfield mower and both levelling and draining the outfield.
We are therefore seeking donations great and small and are pleased to offer the following bands for those generously willing to support the club:
- £1000 will make you a Patron of Armadillos CC and have your name on the Patron’s board in the Pavilion and the website
- £500 will make you a Guardian of the Armadillos and have your name on the Donor’s board in the Pavilion and the website
- £250 - you become a Sponsor of the Armadillos and receive a much-sought after tie or pair of socks
However for many the above bands may be a step too far - and we would of course welcome the smallest donations! Our goal is to raise £10,000 - if we are fortunate enought to raise more than this, this will all be used on improving the ground and facilities.
