Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
My 8 month old pup Arthur has unexpectedly been diagnosed with a Liver shunt and I have been told he needs surgery to save his life.
It all started 3 weeks ago when I rushed him to the emergency vets as he was unable to pass urine.
They worked hard overnight to clear him but it was unclear how it happened.
He then required further testing at my normal vets which they discovered was a liver disorder and as it is classed as congenital the insurance company won't deal with it.
In this time I have kept syringing him fluids all day to help flush toxins out of his liver and changed his diet to relieve the stress on the liver.
He is still vomiting, walking unsteady and generally depressed.
I thought I had time to save up but I don't know how much time I have with the symptoms not easing and I can't give up on him, he has so many more years to live.
His older fur brother, my rescue Kez has degenerative myleopathy and when Arthur came into our lives it gave him a new lease of life, but he now is also depressed as his friend can't play with him anymore.
I have already spent £1450 on testing and emergency care but I've managed to get credit cards so have nearly £1000 including my wages towards surgery, but to get the rest it's going to take months that i don't know if I have.
I normally find it really hard to ask for help but this isn't for me, I'm doing this for Arthur and with no one else to support me I am willing to do anything to give him a chance at a normal life.
I don't expect any help, i know it's hard for everyone out there but I have to try.
All our love Jen, Arthur and Kez Xxx
