A few years ago I found Arthur in Brixton. Very weak and frail. Un able to walk and barely talk. I offered to to help him home where i found he was living in poor conditions most upsettingly he has no family.

Arthur was an auphon from birth and grew up with no parents in care. As a gay man he has no kids. With dimenture and parkinsons he was left helpless with no one to fight his constant battles. Little did i know the horrors that i would discover that vounerable elderly people face when they have no family.

Myself and my family visited him daily and faced many hurdles as we were not 'family' but with the help of a previous 'just giving campaign' and my support from the facebook group @arthursarmy we managed to get him the care and support he needed.

To cut a long story short I eventually become next of kin but unfortunately Arthur passed away peacefully on the 10th october this month.

For almost 3 years i have had to pester the 'system' , battle against 'computers that have said NO' and argue with 'procedures that simply don't make sense.

Arthur now needs a lovely, happy send off. Lets celebrate his life and give him what he deserves and maybe even a little bit more !!??

Id love him to have the kind of funeral and perhaps a memorial that any other elderly person 'with family' would have.

I refuse to have to pester any more than i have so far , or moan to any of the robots in the 'system' regards releasing funds for Arthurs funeral as it may never happen and for Arthurs sake I cant risk that...
