I have been group instructor for Ashford Valley RDA for 6 years and have loved every minute of working with the inspirational riders I have met. We are a small group helping to bring the physical and emotional benefits of horse riding to disabled adults and children in the local area. We have just reformed the group after a year off and have had a cracking start to the 2017 season!

The group relies on volunteers and fundraising to keep running and I wanted to see if I could give us a new season boost by attempting a sort of long-way-round-marathon! Being a novice runner, anything like the real thing was out of the question but I am taking a leaf out of the tortoise's book and going for slow and steady. This means I'm spreading the distance over the season by running 4 x 10k races and 1 x 5k race between now and September. This will be quite the challenge for me and I would hugely appreciate any support (donations or other) to keep my little legs running!

My plan is:

The Egerton Bluebell 10k - 7th May
The Charing 10k - 9th June
The Romney Marsh 10k - 9th July
The Mt Ephraim 10k - 6th August
The Rye Summer Classic 5k - 8th September
