Story
Our dear colleague and friend Augustine sadly passed away on 9th December 2016, leaving behind a wife and ten children. He has been the only source of income for his family. This fund is set up to provide some security for them as they come to terms with Augustine's death.

8 years agoDear friends Thank you so much for your generosity. Augustine's friends and families were able to organise his wake and memorial service very quickly on Friday, 9th December, which all the MHSP-TA and LSTM team attended. His body was then transported to his home village in Mangochi District and he was laid to rest on Saturday, 10th December. Over the next week or two we will be working out how best to put your donations into a) a trust to ensure his son finishes his journalism course, Augustine's greatest wish, and b) a fund to help his wife

I was deeply saddened by the news of Augustine's passing. I remember him from my visit in Malawi earlier this year, he was a friendly face in the office. He will be greatly missed...

I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to meet the wonderful person Augustine is described as. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
