Two years ago we began the battle to open Fife's first Sensory Adapted Restaurant. inspired by our own ASD children, the youngest is shown in the pic with Daddy. An older son who is now 19.

Sensoriale restaurant aims to provide a restaurant which is sensory adapted and to offer employment to those on the spectrum and their carers. 'How can you sensory adapt a restaurant'? I hear you cry, well i am not going to say its easy but by thinking about how sensory issues affect those with ASD in busy places we can make a start by making small changes, booth seating with headphone sockets and charging ports, a sensory room to go and relax in, sectional plates with a choice of menu.to name but a few, Its little things that make a huge difference. We have spoken to the local ASD community in fact it was a lovely young man who came up with the fabulous name for the restaurant We listened and took on board their requests, we have had huge amounts of positive feedback and requests for a restaurant in Canada, America and Australia

BY using our own funds and donations from our wonderful friends and family, we have secured a restaurant and have everything we need to open, except the main feature, sensory equipment. If you could help us raise enough money to start the sensory room you will be helping families just like yourselves to enjoy a past time many of us take for granted. Eating out!
